Washington-Virginia Village

Built primarily in the 1950s, Washington-Virginia Village constitutes mostly of brick ranches and some frame two-stories & split levels. It is one of Denver’s newer neighborhoods but already has a rich history. The once famed Celebrity Sports Center has now become a Home Depot. In addition, the United Artist theater along Colorado Boulevard is now a Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Thus, the neighborhood is seeing a resurgence of commerce. In addition to a resurgence of commerce, the neighborhood is experiencing a number of ‘pop tops’ and scrapes as the area has large lots and large homes.

Homes in this neighborhood are reasonably priced and the location is great. This is a great starter or move up neighborhood for most people.

The national average for each type of crime equals a score of 100, so a score of 200 would represent twice the risk as the national average, and a score of 50 would represent half the risk of the naitonal average. Neighborhoods represented by more than one zip code reflect the average of all zip codes.
